WiSight™ digital wireless technology is a new scientific breakthrough in wireless video that eliminates the interference found in traditional analog wireless systems. WiSight digital wireless operation is based upon WiFi computer technology that has been enhanced for mobile performance. While traditional analog wireless systems have experienced problems with poor transmission and frequent interference, Voyager's WiSight overcomes these problems with brand new technology that has power to spare and avoids any interference.
The secret to WiSight's success is the digital "pairing" between the monitor and the camera, which are shipped from the factory already matched up to each other. The camera's transmitter only communicates with its paired monitor's receiver. The monitor only receives signals from it's paired camera. And there is plenty of power to spare. Voyager's digital wireless systems have been tested on vehicles over 65 feet long with no transmission problems, even through multiple vehicle walls.
No cables to run! That's the advantage of a wireless backup system. With a standard wired system, installing the main cable can take several hours, and installing a disconnectable tow cable is expensive and laborious. Voyager makes the wireless concept even better by making it DIGITAL, where the signal is always reliable and power is plentiful.

| Features | Voyager's Digital Wireless A/V Technology Overview The core of the design is an ARM9TM high-speed 32-bit DSP-Enhanced microprocessor that provides an integrated SOC (System On Chip) solution for near real-time digital single-channel audio/video transceiving. The system operates (transmits and receives) within the 2.4GHz to 2.5GHz ISM (Industrial, Scientific, Medical) band. The reason the operating frequency is specified as a range and not a single frequency is due to the implementation of a key software derived feature called Adaptive Frequency Hopping which reduces/eliminates interference from local transmissions (including other identical wireless observation systems). Key Technology Features and Terminology AFH - Adaptive Frequency Hopping The receiver and transmitter synchronously and continuously change frequencies at a high rate of speed. This greatly reduces or prevents interference from local transmissions that are operating on the 2.4GHz to 2.5GHz frequency (this includes other identical wireless observation systems). The rate of frequency hopping is dynamic and is adjusted according to the amount detected interference. RSSI – Received Signal Strength Indication The receiver continuously measures and reports signal strength. This measurement is used to dynamically adjust A/V data processing rate and FPS (frames per second) rate to ensure no loss of Tx/Rx link. This measurement also provides the end user with an OSD indicated (4-bar) graphic on the observation screen. CRC – Cyclical Redundancy Checking This is probably more commonly known as error detection/correction. Completely inherent in the software design and further contributes to maintaining the digital link between the Tx (transmitter) and Rx (receiver) when signal integrity is compromised.
